Lillian (2)

Just a normal day off from work, trying to clean up and entertain Lillian as she is a  destructive force, so my efforts are not futile. *Pumpkin, our 7 month old kitten & ^Asbach, our 3 year old boxer.

Little Lilly,

how come you are so sweet
from your tangled hair
down to your webbed feet.

Like a tornado you tear thru the house
leaving trails of destruction
just like a tiny mouse.

Your imagination lets pink ponies
run free and kitten* lets you rejoice
with exhilarated glee.

Barbies you dress up and adore
and dog^ chews them up
and we have to go get some more.

One of your favorites is that dog blue
and you make pretty pictures
with scissors, paper and glue.

Dora is one of your best friends
delicioso and swiper no swiping!
we have to pretend.

Mud, of course, best self made
so you can drag it in the house
and make a pancake.

I adore and love that little girl
just never forget
the little girl I am raising
is a handful you bet!

Oh SNAP!

You are my....

source of luxurious delight
reminiscent of a sweet kiss
my growing desire as I embrace
your velvety smoothness

My affection and fondness growing
I relish in your lusciousness
your amplitude is morally amiss
yet sinfully I relish in your opulence
as you melt and burst into my mouth

Am I able to go another minute
without you?

My infatuation, adulation,
My one constant that is always
eager to please..... Chocolate

Joshua

Gloriously he wears his armor
Engineered like metallic sheathing
Desperate to not never
Ache, Bruise, Despair, Rupture
Again

Heroically he wears his armor
Shelled like an animal
Frantically to not ever
Grieve, Mourn, Weep, Wound
Again

Never to be reduced to
fragments or feel abject again.

Maddy

As I watch you...
Standing there with your tousled hair
You make me think of how
These (beings) create ruinous damage
Straining on your benevolence
Leaving you despondent

Lillian

February 15th

Let me set the stage:
Lillian my almost 5 year old going on "I know everything better", found the stash of candy. It is 10:30 p.m.and she is bouncing off the walls. To keep my sanity I write poems. This is what I came up with for this situation!

Lillian
Happy girl-
 why don't you sleep?
Your mother-
is tired and ready to weep!
Happy girl-
 why are you awake?
Your mother-
is weary and ready to break!
Happy girl-
 Why don't you dream?
Your mother
is exhausted and ready to scream!
Happy girl-
why are you climbing a wall?
Your mother-
is fatigued and ready to bawl!

Happy girl, tell your mother you are
ready to see, Princess Bubblegum in
dreamland, please do it for me!
